Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, the singer has done work all over the world. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta, she originates in Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing piano in church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You the House, came out only in Japan. The song has been remixed many times, and has become a staple in her live performance. The voice of hers was featured on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. She was the main pianist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
